In midsummer, the Hamagou’s vibrant purple flowers bloom on the seaside. Hamagou has been known for its beautiful fragrance from long ago. The fresh fragrance of Hamagou was used as incense.
Hamagou grows naturally in Miyajima, a world heritage site located near Sakurao distillery.
Miyajima has been conserved and left the nature of Seto Inland sea. Hamagou, which grows in this “Botanical heaven”, has been added along with other botanicals from Hiroshima, and distilled in a traditional way to give life to a new limited craft gin.
