Shochu is a distilled spirit and increasingly popular globally, similar to Sake.
This bottling is made by craft distiller Ookubo Shuzo in Kagoshima Japan and is their flagship bottling, made from Sweet Potato and Black Rice Malt.
Crisp and dry with a beautiful mouthfeel, combining the sweetness from sweet potato and the floral softness from the Kome (rice). Made with a variety of sweet potato combined with a special breed of rice from the SAMURAI ERA. From 7g of rice seeds, it’s bred for the first time after 154 years.
