Capucana is produced in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo (Brazil), in a distillery that has been working non stop since 1886.
Capucana is a blend of 4 varieties of barrel-aged cane distillate (cachaça Velha) with 5 non-aged varieties (cachaça Prata). The 9 varieties of sugar cane are harvested at 3 different farms on the same estates: Capuava, St. Lydia & Bertioga.
The complexity resulting from this mix of canes and its barrel aging with unique characteristics in the category, make capucana a rare and singular cachaça.
A unique blend of sugar canes distilled and finally rounded off in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon, which are then left to further mature in the magical region of Islay, aged with peat-distilled malt whiskey.
